Paring: none; Morgan-centric, Gideon
Summary: post 2x12 - "It was impossible not to talk to him. It had nothing to do with Jason being his superior. Nothing to do with the job at all. Jason had his respect, in a way Derek didn’t give to a lot of people."
Note/Warning: as a survivor, a couple phrases rubbed me the wrong way (such as implying that some victims of abuse “use their history like a crutch”) and it’s kinda jossed in that…i truly believe that drinking anything, let alone sweet wine, after the events of 2x12 would be exceptionally triggering, but enough of the sentiment and characterization is there for me to give it a pass.
Summary: Gideon was certain it was envy driving their unknown subject to attack gay couples, always in their own homes, always in the same elaborate, vicious way. The unsub begrudged his victims a life he believed he himself could never have, according to Gideon, and in his deformed thinking, felt the need to make them pay for it, destroying their happiness to assuage his own misery. If they wanted to lure the killer to them, it stood to reason, they’d have to shine an appropriate target in his eyes. Spencer and Hotch had volunteered for the assignment.
Summary: Post 2x15 - Morgan shook his head, attention sliding from the fork to Reid. The kid looked better, questionable food aside. He’d gained a little weight. Maybe. He was still far too skinny but he looked healthy. Healthy, calm and collected. His hands didn’t shake when they returned to the keyboard.
Summary: Having suppressed his gender after being disillusioned by his experiences with alphas, Spencer has lived his life as an asexual, managing to train himself to not react to any urges he might have had. That is, until his Dilaudid addiction causes an adverse affect - something that Reid never thought he would experience. Morgan checks up on Reid to make sure he’s alright and finds him in a bit of a sticky situation.
Mod Note: For an A/B/O ‘verse, there’s hardly anything in the way of consent issues, which pleased me greatly. And despite how the summary sounds, it’s actually a 21k fic. Enjoy!
